This light-hearted feud gained momentum when Musk expressed his intent to spar with Zuckerberg, who interestingly has had some training in UFC. Not one to back down from a challenge, Zuckerberg previously proposed hosting their bout at Cesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. Musk, however, seemed more inclined to have the match closer to home, suggesting Zuckerberg’s backyard ring as the venue.

While it seemed Zuckerberg wasn’t keen on the spontaneous home visit, Musk’s humorous announcement prior to Tesla’s self-driving car test drive kept the jest alive. He posted on X, formerly Twitter, that he might direct his self-driving Tesla to Zuckerberg’s home and even live stream their interaction. Musk jokingly added, “If we get lucky and Zuck actually answers the door, the fight is on!”
The friendly rivalry between the two entrepreneurs reportedly started when Zuckerberg introduced Threads on Instagram, drawing parallels with Musk’s social platform. Zuckerberg promoted Threads as a more balanced alternative to X, which faced challenges with extreme ideologies.
Although the online exchanges have been in good fun, both have teased each other about the prospective ‘fight.’ Zuckerberg often highlights Musk’s playful reluctance, pointing to Musk’s various reasons for postponing their face-off, including a recent mention of a potential shoulder surgery.
In his recent posts, Musk humorously predicted Zuckerberg’s potential responses, further poking fun at the ongoing jest. “Thought you might want some tea, so I brought the bags,” Musk cheekily added.
