1. Caminito del Rey – Spain

Famous for its challenging nature, the Caminito del Rey (‘King’s Little Path’) has been renovated with safety rails, reducing its previous level of danger. This path in Andalusia can be found within the natural park of Los Ardales in Malaga, providing stunning viewpoints. For individuals experiencing vertigo, it is advisable to avoid this hike due to the presence of a suspension bridge at the gorge’s summit, which is situated at a considerable height, along with a portion featuring a glass floor.

2. Rocks of Adrspach-Teplice – Czech Republic

These rocks in the Czech Republic are truly remarkable natural formations made of sandstone with unique shapes that are definitely worth seeing. The hiking trail that crosses them spans a distance of 6 kilometers and is rated as easy. Prepare to be amazed!

3. High Tatras – Slovakia

The High Tatras, located on the border of Slovakia and Poland, have been designated as a “biosphere reserve” by Unesco. There are multiple hiking circuits available in the High Tatras, each offering the chance to explore stunning landscapes filled with waterfalls, forests, and lakes.

This Scottish road connects Milngavie, near Glasgow, to Fort William in the Highlands. This hike covers a distance of 154 km and typically takes 6 to 8 days to complete. Those with courage will stumble upon breathtaking sceneries, across vast fields and untamed views.

7. Mont Blanc Tour – France, Switzerland, Italy

Embarking on another long-distance adventure: the Tour du Mont Blanc. Travel a 155 km path through the stunning Alps, crossing mountain passes and the borders of France, Italy, and Switzerland. As per experienced hikers, the Tour du Mont Blanc is not overly challenging but does demand proper physical readiness. It will take approximately 7 to 10 days to complete the challenge.

Exploring the beautiful region of Asturias in northern Spain, this hiking route in the Picos de Europa leads to the charming villages of Poncebos and Posada de Valdeón. Travelling by car, the two villages are nearly 100 km apart, but if you follow the Cares river along the cliffs, you will only need to walk 12 km. The stunning landscape makes it worth going back.

During the summer, the Kungsleden offers a beautiful hiking trail, while in the winter, it transforms into a ski slope. The route crosses the Vindelfjällens nature reserve in northern Sweden. This hike, known as the Royal Way, spans 440 km across Swedish Lapland and is divided into multiple trails.

The GR20, also known as Grande Randonnée 20, presents a challenging trek across Corsica from the northern to the southern regions, passing through its regional natural park. The area is split into two sections (north and south) with a total of 16 stages covering a distance of 180 km. This hike typically takes 15 days to complete, but in June 2021, a runner set a new record by finishing it in just 30 hours and 25 minutes!

15. Laugavegur – Iceland

The trail spans 55 km, beginning in Landmannalaugar and ending in Thórsmörk. Because of the weather in the country, this hike is only possible from June to September.
