SoftOrbits adds web functionality to its denoise and deblur tools

SoftOrbits denoise and deblur tools

SoftOrbits is an image editing software development company founded in 2006 by Eugene Ustinenkov. What started as a small project focused on developing single-feature utilities for amateur photographers quickly grew into a full-scale niche-leading company with over a million yearly downloads and 300,000 users.

Recognized by industry giants like CNET, Softonic, and OISV, SoftOrbits constantly improves its services and finds new ways to increase convenience for its customers. Recently, the team has introduced 10 new web versions of its most popular products, including the highly demanded Denoise and Deblur functionality.
“When we considered which products we should turn into web versions, the Denoise and Deblur solution was always high on the priority list, since the tool fixes an incredibly common issue and benefits significantly from being available online 24/7. We already see a solid spike in active users and are very pleased with the results of this decision,” says Eugene Ustinenkov, CEO of SoftOrbits and AlarmFront.

As Eugene explains, according to SoftOrbits’ internal data, web versions are received very positively by the audience, and the Denoise and Deblur features are particularly welcome. Interestingly enough, the new version of the product is equally popular among individual clients and businesses, which isn’t usual for the company — generally, there is a skew in one direction or another based on the tool.

“We believe the reason for it is the fact that the ability to quickly denoise and deblur photographs is something that is universally required. Both businesses and individuals love automated solutions that save time and can fix some generic issues with their photographs, and our tool matches this description perfectly. What makes it even more appealing is its simplicity and speed — you only need to upload your image and click a single button to solve the issue,” says Eugene Ustinenkov, CEO of SoftOrbits, Candidate of Technical Sciences.

The team behind SoftOrbits is convinced that web versions of their utilities will eventually change the way the company operates and will enable it to provide an even better service. After all, web versions enable the team to iterate and push updates faster, gather real-time feedback, and serve users on mobile and low-resource devices. This unparalleled level of accessibility is something the team has always aimed for.

“We always focused on delivering the most convenient tools in the niche, which helped us secure our unique spot in the industry. Nowadays, online accessibility is a must, and we adhere to this requirement. Our goal is to release more of our products this way in the future, as well as add some AI functionalities to increase automation capabilities even further,” says Eugene Ustinenkov, CEO of SoftOrbits with more than 10 years of software development expertise.

Right now, SoftOrbits is in the process of transitioning to the SaaS distribution model — the company representatives see it as the most fitting marketing strategy in the current industry. Apart from that, the team also plans to increase the number of AI features in its products to serve the increased demand for them among both businesses and individual customers.

“Both SaaS and AI are the two pillars of the future in the image editing niche, whether you like it or not. Any company that aims to ride the wave instead of drowning has to adjust to these new standards dictated by technology. Fortunately, both trends work towards increasing convenience and accessibility for our users, so we are happy to oblige. Although the process of transition might take a while, we will keep our audience updated at all times,” says Hannes Jansen, writer and editor at SoftOrbits.
