Saori Den is the show’s director, while Tetsuo Yajima is in charge of the action, Daiki Tomiyasu is in charge of the scripts, and Dai Sat is in charge of the creative direction. Rei Yamazaki takes care of the character designs, Conisch makes the music, and Naotsugu Uchida and Akane Yamago handle sound editing (they took over from Ryōko Nashimoto).

Bessatsu CoroCoro Comic and Gakushu Yochien are not credited as publishers anymore, and Junichi Masuda and Ken Sugimori are no longer credited as creators. This series is different from the ones before because it doesn’t have Ash Ketchum as the main character.

Instead, it introduces two new main characters, Liko and Roy. They team up with a group called the Rising Volt Tacklers, who are adventurers exploring the Pokémon world and going to different regions, including the Paldea region of Scarlet and Violet. This new series comes after the final part of Pokémon Ultimate Journeys, which is like an ending chapter for the main character, Ash Ketchum. Ash has been the star of the Pokémon show since it began on April 1, 1997.

A trailer for the new series came out on March 3, 2023, announcing that it would begin in Japan on April 14.
