With a variety of configurations and models to pick from, including those with Apple’s new M1 CPU, getting a good price on a MacBook or Mac Mini isn’t difficult, especially with Black Friday and Cyber Monday approaching.

The M1 CPU comes with 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD in the standard MacBook Air. It usually costs $999, but it’s presently on sale for $900 at Amazon and Best Buy. The $1,249 512GB version is also on sale for $1,150 at Amazon and Best Buy in all three colorways, which is its second-lowest price to date. These offers may come and go quickly, but as the holiday shopping season approaches, we expect to see more.

THE BEST MACBOOK PRO DEALS

Apple announced a new M1 range of CPUs, as well as improvements to both the 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros, at its “Unleashed” presentation last month. The M1 MacBook Pro 13 is regularly $1,299, but Amazon has a roughly $200 discount on the base model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, bringing it down to $1,100. The larger 512GB model is also on sale at Amazon for $1,349, which is the lowest price it’s ever been.

Of course, you may still purchase older MacBook Pro models, such as the 13-inch model from mid-2020. The earlier Intel-powered laptop has four Thunderbolt connections, Windows bootcamp-ready Ice Lake processors, the current scissor-switch keyboard, more RAM, and different storage options. The 13-inch model is currently available on Amazon in a variety of configurations, including one with a 10th Gen Intel Core i7 processor and 512GB of storage for $1,999 and another with 1TB of storage and a 2.0GHz 10th Gen Intel Core i5 processor for $1,500, which is over $500 off the original price.

The last-gen MacBook Pro 16 from 2019 is still on sale if you want a bigger laptop with greater horsepower, but it’s been outpaced in practically every category since the debut of the new MacBook Pros with the M1 Pro and M1 Max CPUs. The 16-inch variant with an Intel Core i9 CPU and 1TB of storage is still available for $2,299 at Best Buy. Deals are few and far between outside of that.

THE BEST MAC MINI DEALS

The Mac Mini is a cheap desktop computer running macOS that isn’t an Apple laptop. It doesn’t come with a display, keyboard, or mouse (so you’ll have to buy those separately), but if portability isn’t a concern, this little machine is a great performer. It’s quick and efficient, and it’s equipped with Wi-Fi 6.

The MacBook Mini, like the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro 13, is powered by Apple’s new M1 CPU. It starts at $699 and goes up from there depending on your RAM and storage choices. The best deal on the base Mac Mini can be found at Amazon, where the 256GB model is $649 and the 512GB variant costs $750. The 512GB variant is also available for the same price at Costco, but no other shop is giving the deal.
