Global Covid-19 Infections Crosses one-and-half-crore mark
The infection of Covid-19 pandemic is increasing day by day. The number of people infected and dying from the disease is not under control at all. In the meantime, there are more than one and a half crore Covid-19 patients in the world.
As of 12 P.M. on Thursday, a total of 15,153,194 cases have been reported worldwide as Covid-19 positive, according to Worldometers. Meanwhile, 9,353,372 people have recovered and 630,312 people died of coronavirus.
The United States has reported a record number of 41.85 million cases. The death toll in the country now stands at 146,173. On the other hand, a total of 1,942,736 people have recovered.
Brazil has the second highest number of infections and deaths. So far, a total of 2,231,071 people have been infected with the Covid-19 in the Latin American country. Meanwhile, 1,532,136 people have recovered and the death toll in the country reached 62,790.
The number of patients in India is increasing almost every day and the country tops three in total coronavirus cases globally. About 40,000 people are being infected every day in the last one week in the South Asian country. Besides, 1,239,084 people have tested Covid-19 positive in India. The death toll rose to 29,861.
As fourth highest infected country, 6,79,190 patients have been tested positive for Covid-19 in Russia so far. The country reported 12,845 people’s deaths. In South Africa, which is at number five, 394,946 people have been infected with the virus. And 5,940 people died of coronavirus in the country.
Coronavirus is spreading to 213 countries and regions around the world. The World Health Organization has declared it as pandemic after the disease first reported in China’s Wuhan in late December last year.
