This decade was marked by the massification of smartphones in almost the entire world. It allowed millions of people to have access, among many other things, to social networks. Of course, the applications played a vital role in achieving this phenomenon, and practically the list of the most downloaded apps in the last 10 years was totally dominated by social platforms.
Recently, App Annie, a data analysis firm on the status of software on mobile devices, published its ranking of the 10 most downloaded applications of the decade, confirming the authority of social networks. However, what stands out the most is Facebook and its service portfolio, since the first 4 positions belong to those directed by Mark Zuckerberg.

It is important to remember that, in the case of WhatsApp and Instagram, both proposals were acquired by Facebook years after their first stage of success.
