Daniel Craig Gets Emotional as He Bids Farewell to James Bond Role
After recording his final scene as James Bond in the next 007 adventure No Time to Die, which will be his final outing as the super spy, Hollywood star Daniel Craig got emotional.
According to Variety, the free Apple TV documentary Being James Bond looked on Daniel’s tenure as the renowned character, from Casino Royale to Quantum of Solace to Skyfall and Spectre, as well as his final sequence in No Time to Die, which has been postponed numerous times.
Daniel Craig’s final sequence while making his last film finished with James Bond running down an alley out of sight, a fitting end to a 15-year career as 007, according to the documentary.
After concluding late-night filming, the actor gave a moving monologue, and the entire cast and crew teared up and hugged one other.
“A lot of people here worked on five pictures with me, and I know there’s a lot of things said about what I think about these films… But I’ve loved every single second of these movies, and especially this one because I’ve got up every morning and I’ve had the chance to work with you guys. And that has been one of the greatest honours of my life,” he said while his eyes welling up with tears.

The Royal Albert Hall in London will host the international premiere of No Time to Die on September 28. It will be released on September 30 in the UK and Ireland by Universal Pictures International, and on October 8 in the US by MGM’s United Artists Releasing banner.
Bond has left active service in the film and is living a peaceful life in Jamaica, according to the plot. When his old acquaintance Felix Leiter from the CIA shows up and asks for assistance, his calm is short-lived. The mission to save an abducted scientist turns out to be far more perilous than Bond had anticipated, leading him to a mystery enemy with dangerous new technology.
Daniel Craig, Rami Malek, Lea Seydoux, Lashana Lynch, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Christoph Waltz, and Ralph Fiennes feature in Cary Joji Fukunaga’s film. Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli are the producers.
