Anushka Sharma and Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli have been blessed with a baby girl. It is the first child of the star couple actor Anushka and Kohli, three years after their marriage.
This announcement was made by Virat Kohli himself on his social media. He wrote that Anushka gave birth on Monday afternoon. Both mother and child are doing well. The star cricketer also thanked the fans for their good wishes.

Here is Virat’s statement: “We are thrilled to share with you that we have been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you all for your love, prayers and good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Love, Virat.”

Virushka, as their fans address them fondly, announced in August 2020 that they are adding third member to their family. In tweet messages, they had written, “And then, we were three! Arriving Jan 2021 ❤️.”
In an interview a few days ago, Anushka Sharma said she plans to return to work four months after giving birth. On the other hand, Virat Kohli has been on a paternity leave since the first Test match against Australia.

Anushka tied the knot with Kohli at a traditional resort in Florence, Italy, on December 11, 2017. It was the most popular wedding ceremony in Bollywood that year.
Kohli’s close relationship with Anushka grew when he worked on an advertisement in 2013. Later, it was reported that the duo had split. Then, the two got together again.
