TikTok Star Anna Grace Phelan Dies at 19 After Cancer Battle

Anna Grace Phelan Dies at 19

Anna Grace Phelan, a popular 19-year-old TikTok influencer from Georgia, has passed away following an intense battle with brain cancer. Her family confirmed the heartbreaking news on her official TikTok account on Saturday, May 24, 2025. According to her obituary, Anna Grace died a day earlier, on Friday, May 23.

“It is with great sadness to announce that our beautiful daughter, Anna Grace Phelan, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,” her family wrote in the post. “So many of you have followed her journey through a difficult battle with cancer and bore witness to her powerful testimony of faith.”

The family extended deep gratitude to the thousands of people who offered prayers and support throughout her treatment. “Thank you for the countless thousands of prayers for healing and peace. May we all rejoice with the assurance that she is in Heaven now, and she has been healed. Let us also remember that the only path to the promised kingdom of Heaven is through salvation in Jesus Christ.”

Diagnosis: A Life-Altering Moment Just Before College

Anna Grace’s health struggles began in the summer of 2024, just days before she was scheduled to begin college. What started as minor symptoms soon turned into something more serious. In a September 2024 TikTok video, she revealed that she had been diagnosed with a grade 4 malignant glioma—a fast-growing and aggressive type of brain tumor. According to the Mayo Clinic, gliomas originate in the brain or spinal cord and are among the most complex cancers to treat.

Her initial symptoms included numbness on one side of her face and in one leg. She soon began to experience vision problems, dizziness, slurred speech, and difficulty walking. After undergoing an MRI and a brain biopsy, doctors confirmed the presence of the tumor.

“This is definitely the hardest news I’ve ever received,” she told her followers in an emotional video. “By all means, this is not easy. Just going to trust in the Lord and try and keep pushing forward.”

A Digital Diary of Strength, Faith, and Resilience

Anna Grace quickly became known not just for her beauty and kindness, but for her unshakable faith. She used her TikTok platform to document every step of her cancer journey, turning what could have been a private struggle into a public message of hope and belief in God’s plan. Her audience grew to over 140,000 followers during this time.

She shared videos of her radiation treatments, physical symptoms, and emotional challenges. Despite the growing severity of her condition, she remained candid and hopeful, always asking her followers to keep her in their prayers. In one of her final posts on May 14, she revealed that her brain tumor had become inoperable.

“The tumor has grown into an area that’s really affecting my breathing and causing dizziness,” she said. “There’s not really anything else they can do. Keep me in your prayers. Thank you all so much.”

Even as her health deteriorated, Anna Grace continued to share moments of joy with her friends and family. On May 15, she posted a heartfelt video of a backyard gathering organized by her friends—a celebration of life amid unimaginable circumstances.

Beyond her TikTok presence, Anna Grace lived a grounded and faith-filled life in Jefferson, Georgia. A recent high school graduate, she had taken a job as a receptionist at a local medical practice and remained deeply involved in her Christian church community.

Originally from Florida, she moved to Georgia with her family and was known locally for her warm personality, compassionate nature, and devotion to God. According to her obituary, Anna Grace is survived by her parents, William “Buddy” Phelan and Nadine Phelan, her younger brother Harper Phelan, and four grandparents, along with a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins who deeply loved her.

Outpouring of Support and Community Response

As word of her diagnosis and online presence spread, a GoFundMe page was launched to help cover medical costs and support her family. The campaign raised over $65,000, with donations pouring in from strangers inspired by her story and faith. Supporters frequently left heartfelt messages of encouragement, calling her a “light in the darkness” and “a true warrior of faith.”

In response to her passing, social media platforms, particularly TikTok and Instagram, have seen an influx of tributes from both followers and other influencers. Many praised her courage and spiritual strength, describing her as a role model for young people navigating difficult circumstances.

Final Farewell: Funeral Scheduled for May 29

A funeral service for Anna Grace Phelan will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Galilee Christian Church in Jefferson, Georgia. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at the church’s cemetery.

The family is encouraging those who attend or wish to pay tribute to reflect on Anna Grace’s unwavering commitment to her Christian faith. “She lived her short life with joy, purpose, and unshakeable belief in God’s grace,” the obituary reads.

Legacy of Faith and Courage

Anna Grace Phelan leaves behind not just grieving family and friends, but a legacy of strength, authenticity, and spiritual endurance. Her story has touched thousands across the world—many of whom never met her in person but found hope through her message.

Her final videos, her public prayers, and her willingness to share both triumphs and struggles have become a source of inspiration to a generation wrestling with hardship and looking for hope.

In a world dominated by fleeting trends and superficial content, Anna Grace’s life was a reminder that faith, courage, and compassion can still take center stage—and that one voice, no matter how young, can move hearts across the globe.
