Xiaomi 14 Civi Launches in India: SD 8s Gen 3, Quad-Curved Display, Dual Selfie Power

Xiaomi 14 Civi Launches in India

Xiaomi has officially launched the Xiaomi 14 Civi in India, marking a significant addition to its lineup. Announced on June 12, 2024, this highly anticipated smartphone will be available for purchase starting June 20, 2024.

Xiaomi aims to capture the upper-midrange market with this feature-rich device, positioning it as a competitor against brands like OnePlus and iQOO.

Design and Display

The Xiaomi 14 Civi boasts an elegant design with a quad-curved LTPO AMOLED display. Measuring 6.55 inches, the screen offers a high resolution of 1236 x 2750 pixels, providing sharp and vibrant visuals.

The display supports 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+, ensuring a smooth and immersive viewing experience.

Protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, the screen is designed to withstand everyday wear and tear.

Performance and Hardware

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, constructed using a 4nm process, powers the Xiaomi 14 Civi from the inside out. This octa-core processor, paired with the Adreno 735 GPU, promises robust performance for both everyday tasks and gaming.

The device comes with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage, ensuring fast data transfer and ample space for apps and media.

Camera Capabilities

One of the standout features of the Xiaomi 14 Civi is its camera system. Co-engineered with Leica, the phone features a triple-camera setup on the rear. The main camera is a 50MP sensor with an f/1.6 aperture, offering excellent low-light performance and image stabilization.

Additionally, there is a 50MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom and a 12MP ultra-wide lens with a 120° field of view. The front of the phone houses dual 32MP selfie cameras, designed for both wide and ultra-wide shots, perfect for capturing detailed selfies and group photos.

Battery and Charging

The Xiaomi 14 Civi is equipped with a 4700mAh battery, which Xiaomi claims can retain at least 80% of its original capacity after 1,600 charge cycles.

The device supports 67W wired charging, which can charge the phone to 100% in just 40 minutes. This ensures that users can quickly top up their battery and stay connected throughout the day.

Software and User Experience

Running on Android 14 with Xiaomi’s custom HyperOS, the Xiaomi 14 Civi offers a personalized and user-friendly interface. The software includes various optimizations and features designed to enhance the overall user experience, from improved app management to enhanced privacy controls.

Audio and Connectivity

The Xiaomi 14 Civi features stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, providing an immersive audio experience for media consumption and gaming.

In terms of connectivity, the phone supports 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC, and has an infrared port. It also includes a USB Type-C 2.0 port with OTG support but lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Pricing and Promotions

The Xiaomi 14 Civi is priced at ₹43,000 for the 8GB/256GB variant and ₹48,000 for the 12GB/512GB variant. Early buyers can take advantage of promotions, including a ₹3,000 exchange bonus or a ₹3,000 discount with an ICICI Bank credit or debit card.

Additionally, customers opting for EMI payments can purchase the device with monthly installments starting at ₹2,389. The first sale on June 20 will also offer a free Redmi Watch 3 Active, normally priced at ₹3,000, as a promotional gift.

The Xiaomi 14 Civi is a significant release for Xiaomi, combining premium features such as a quad-curved display, powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, and advanced camera systems with competitive pricing.

With its robust performance, innovative design, and attractive promotional offers, the Xiaomi 14 Civi is poised to make a strong impact on the Indian smartphone market.
