Three-Year Death anniversary of Diego Maradona

It is November 25 today. It was not a good day for global football. On this day in 2020, the football world lost its prince, Diego Maradona. It marks the legend’s third death anniversary (the anniversary of Maradona’s death). All throughout the world, countless supporters are honoring Maradona.

Diego Armando Maradona is his full name. Maradona was born on October 30, 1960, in the vicinity of Argentina’s capital, Buenos Aires. He was one of eight siblings, ranked sixth. a really poor childhood.

Maradona has enjoyed playing football since he was a young child. Football scouts didn’t notice him until he was ten years old. He started his junior career at the renowned Argentinos Juniors club in Buenos Aires. At sixteen, he started playing football internationally. He was allowed to play for Argentina’s national team in 1977, making him the youngest player in the nation’s history. He became well-known very quickly.

Due to his diminutive stature, Maradona could not make the national football team for the 1978 World Cup. But he wasn’t broken, though. Even at the age of eighteen, Diego Maradona was voted the best football player in South America. He played four times in the World Cup. He competed in the World Cup in 1982, 1986, 1990, and 1994.

Diego Maradona dazzled the football world in 1986 with his extraordinary abilities at the World Cup in Mexico. He guided Argentina to the World Cup that year. As the best player, he was awarded the Golden Ball. In the 1986 World Cup quarterfinals, Argentina defeated England 2-1. Maradona scored the two goals on his own. In football history, these two goals will always be cherished memories. The ball struck Maradona’s hand in the first goal and became lodged in the net. Later on, the goal was renamed “Hand of God.”

He dribbled from almost 60 meters out past five English defenders. It was acknowledged as the “Goal of the Century.”

Diego Maradona led Argentina to the World Cup finals again in Italy in 1990. But, he didn’t win the World Cup that time. His career was full of controversy. He was found in a drug test in Italy in 1991, and his football career was suspended for fifteen months. At age 37, Maradona announced his retirement from football in 1997. From 2008 to 2010, he also served as the Argentina national team’s coach.

On November 25, 2020, Maradona departed from this life. Diego Maradona died at the age of 60 from a heart attack. Still, a lot of questions remain about this death. Many people were unable to accept Maradona’s passing as the norm. The list included Maradona’s two daughters as well. They filed the lawsuit following Maradona’s passing. That inquiry is still in progress.
