What is this program about?

‘Salvation’ revolves primarily around events within the U.S. government as they try to protect themselves from an asteroid. Along with this race to avert disaster, there is plenty of drama and violence as evil actors intervene.

Salvation is one of those summer series that went unnoticed when it first aired. Time will tell if the streaming service gives it a second chance. For those who need a reminder of the plot, Salvation centers on a more or less pre-apocalyptic story.

A science-fiction drama about the aftermath of a terrible discovery: an asteroid heading for Earth. After the discovery of the asteroid, Earth had only six months to prepare. While the first season hid the impending disaster from the world, the second season revealed the truth.

As the action of the series begins and Liam discovers that an asteroid is on a collision course with Earth, he attempts to inform the U.S. government. After his initial plans fail, he finally manages to talk to U.S. Secretary of Defense Harris Edwards, with the help of billionaire scientist Darius Tanz. When Liam tells Harris of his discovery, the latter informs him and Darius that the U.S. government is aware of the impending collision and is secretly trying to avert a catastrophe.

He also tells them that the truth must be hidden from the public to prevent the collapse of the world’s political and economic order. But as the series progresses, the truth unravels. And later, it is fully revealed. As predicted, the world economic and political order collapses. At the same time, complications arise in Darius’ plans to fight the asteroid. And at the end of the second season, it turns out that the asteroid nicknamed Samson is not an asteroid at all.

What is the premiere date for the Salvation season 3 on Netflix?

Unfortunately, neither we nor the Earthlings in the series will ever know who exactly Samson is. Salvation will not be returning for a third season. CBS Television announced its decision to stop airing the series on November 20, 2017.

However, CBS’s decision to cancel “Salvation” was not surprising, given the series’ critical reception and its audience and subscriber declines of 36% and 24%, respectively. For this reason, we cannot yet give a premiere date for Salvation season 3.

Redemption in the literal sense

  1. I’m very disappointed Season 3 was cancelled. I thought Seasons 1 and 2 were brilliant, incredibly dramatic, and totally engrossing. Extremely well acted, directed, and written.

        • I remember watching this show a while ago and it was amazing, loved every episode and I’m beyond disappointed that there’s no season 3.. it’s so stupid like we don’t even know how it’s going to end. They just should just remove it of netflix like there’s no point watching it tbh

  2. I came across Salvation on Netflix and was so captivated that I binged both seasons over 3 nights. I am so disappointed that there will be no 3rd season, as I thought this show was great. It was thought provoking, exciting, suspenseful and kept me on the edge of my seat. Just when it got to the most interesting part, they cancel the show. What the hell CBS finish the story and make the 3rd season.

  3. I wish they wouldn’t start any series’ without committing to finish it… First two seasons were fantastic and now we’ll never know the conclusion. Must be the lack of tigers or crime or Madeline McCann… 🙄

  4. Yeah I just finished 2nd season and what the hell man. Ots like you take us on this long journey just to say nevermind we’re turning around and going home, leaving us in suspense. Totally had enough dialog to do another season. Especially now because sc-fi is so popular. Very disappointed 😞 😔

  5. This is the most exciting intelligent series I’ve seen in a long time. I don’t see how anyone who serious minded wouldn’t fall for this. Why the hell was it cancelly? They keep cancelling all the good shows but crappy series will run for ages. It doesn’t make sense. Who are these viewers?

  6. What if we organize crowdfunding just to make a 2hours episode to close the series. Same they did with sense8….

    Why notttt ?

    :'( pleaseeee

  7. I just finished watching both seasons in a week. I have been almost obsessed with it. Really need more. They can’t just leave it there. We need season 3!!

  8. Enjoyed the two seasons of Salvation only to come to no end. Oh come on! we need just a final episode to wrap this up. Give us the viewers some closure please.
