“Pandemic” Announced as Word of The Year in 2020
Online dictionary dictionary.com announces the most trending word in 2020 – Pandemic.
Earlier, although many had known the historical meaning of cholera-plague, the severity of the plague was unknown. The novel was introduced to the Coronavirus in the 20th century.
So far, nearly 1.5 million people have died worldwide in the corona crisis. Total 636,41,376 people were affected.

Meanwhile, dictionary.com reports that the word pandemic has been searched most times on their site this year. The term has been searched more than 13,000 times since March 11.
Not only dictionary.com but also the Merriam-Webster dictionary also declared Pandemic the most trending word of the year, AP reports.
On the other hand, the novel Coronavirus infection started in Wuhan, the capital of China’s Hubei province, in December 2019.
