Head of Trust and Safety of Twitter Ella Irwin Has Resigned
Ella Irwin, who was in charge of Twitter’s trust and safety, has quit, she told Reuters. This means that one of Elon Musk’s most important Twitter leaders has left the company.
Yoel Roth quit in November, so Irwin took over. Kylie Robison of Fortune wrote earlier Thursday that Irwin’s Slack account seemed to have been turned off.
During her months at Twitter, Irwin handled some rough times, like when Twitter was criticized for not doing enough to stop people from exploiting children. As part of the “Twitter Files” stories, Irwin gave Bari Weiss information about how Twitter works from the inside. She is also said to have told Twitter to ban accounts that shared information about Elon Musk‘s private jet.

Neither Irwin nor Elon Musk have said anything on Twitter about her leaving. It’s not clear who might fill the job or if a candidate has even been thought of. Perhaps the new CEO, Linda Yaccarino, will figure this out.
As it has done since March, Twitter’s press email responded with a poop emoji.
