This battle happened while Napoleon’s army was trying to leave Russia. The weather was getting very cold, and his soldiers were having a hard time.

Laika’s trip helped scientists learn if living things could survive in space. This helped prepare for human space travel, but many people still think it was wrong to send a dog to die in space.

1975: Jail Killing Day (Bangladesh)

On November 3, 1975, Bangladesh witnessed one of the darkest chapters in its history, known as Jail Killing Day (Jail Hatyakanda).

Four national leaders of Bangladesh’s Liberation War—Syed Nazrul Islam, Tajuddin Ahmad, Captain Muhammad Mansur Ali, and A.H.M. Qamaruzzaman—were brutally murdered inside Dhaka Central Jail.

These leaders were key figures in the wartime government of 1971, often called the Mujibnagar Government. Their deaths came just months after the assassination of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, marking a deep political crisis in the newly independent nation.
