Aamir Khan’s PK to Get Sequel After Script is Done
When fans were expecting producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra for the sequel to ‘Munna Bhai’, news of another successful franchise came up. The second round of Aamir Khan and Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘PK’ is coming up.
Aamir Khan’s super hit film ‘PK’ released in 2014. Aamir played the role of an alien who was trapped on earth and eager to return to his home. Ranbir Kapoor was seen entering the world at the end of the movie and was also an alien creature.
Indian media filmfare.com reports that PK is going to be a sequel and Ranbir Kapoor will take the story forward in the second installment.
Producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra said, “We will make sequels. We showed Ranbir Kapoor’s character made its world towards the end of the movie, so there are more stories to tell. But the writer has not yet written. The day he writes, we will make.”
Pk Director Rajkumar Hirani recently caught up with a leading daily and spoke about the sequel to PK, the report of filmfare.com said.
He also said that the script isn’t ready yet. He said, “So there is a story to tell. But Abhijat (writer) has not written it yet. The day he writes it, we will make it.”

The 2014 Hindi film also starred Anushka Sharma and the late Sushant Singh Rajput. Aamir Khan’s character lost a device after his arrival on Earth and Anushka helped get it back. After the release of the film, there was a lot of discussion and criticism.
The Bollywood movie earned a huge amount of money. In this context, Vidhu Vinod Chopra said, “We are not in the business of making money, we are in the business of making cinema. If making money [was our goal], by now, we would have made six to seven [instalments of] Munna Bhai, and two to three [editions of] PK. We seek joy, happiness and peace over a few crores.” A report of mid-day.com confirms this.
However, Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in ‘Shamser’ in the future which will release in June this year. Ranbir will also be seen in ‘Brahmastra’ opposite lover Alia Bhatt.
