Oppo K9s with 64 Megapixel Triple Camera, 5000mAh Battery Launched

Oppo K9s smartphone was unveiled in China as the newest member of the Oppo K series Wednesday. The Oppo K9s has a 120Hz hole-punch display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC. It weighs 199 grams and has a 5,000mAh battery. The phone has a triple rear camera arrangement with a rectangular-shaped camera module on the back. It includes a fingerprint sensor on the side and comes in three different colors. In China, Oppo debuted the K9 5G and K9 Pro models in the series.

Price and availability of the Oppo K9s

The 6GB RAM + 128GB storage Oppo K9s costs CNY 1,499 (approximately Rs. 17,500) in China, while the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model costs CNY 1,699 (about Rs. 19,900). It will be available for purchase on November 1st, and reservations are currently being taken. The phone is available in three color schemes: Magic Purple Quicksand, Neon Silver Sea, and Obsidian Warrior.

Specifications of the Oppo K9

In terms of specs, the dual-SIM (Nano) Oppo K9s runs ColorOS 11.2 on top of Android 11. It has a 6.59-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,412) TFT LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 96 percent NTSC, 401ppi pixel density, and 16.7 million colors, as well as a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 96 percent NTSC, and a 401ppi pixel density. A 2.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G octa-core SoC with up to 8GB RAM powers the phone. Up to 128GB of internal storage is available, with the possibility to extend it further via a microSD card.

The Oppo K9s boasts a triple rear camera arrangement, including a 64-megapixel main camera with an f/1.7 aperture and an 81-degree field of view, and an 81-degree field of view. It also sports an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 120-degree field of view and an f/2.2 aperture. A 2-megapixel macro lens with an f/2.4 aperture and an 89-degree field of view is also included. The Oppo K9s comes with a 16-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture and a 79-degree field of view on the front.

The Oppo K9s has a 5,000mAh battery with 30W fast charging capabilities. GPS, a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, and more features are available. A fingerprint sensor is also located on the phone’s side. It has dimensions of 164.43×75.88×8.5.2mm and weighs 199 grams.
