WAEC GCE Timetable 2022 Information

NCGScholars officially announces the beginning of the WAEC GCE exam season scheduled to take place from January 31st to February 19th, 2022. The West African Examination Council offers the General Certificate of Education twice a year, with its first season running at the beginning of each year.

What Is The GCE Used For?

The primary purpose of the General Certificate of Education is to encourage potential university candidates who had previously left secondary schools to resit for those papers, making them eligible for entrance to not only Nigerian universities, but European and American institutions as well.

The General Certificate of Education covers specified subjects that are covered in English and Welsh schools between the ages of 17 and 18. The West African Examination Council, or WAEC, conducts these examinations to vet potential university candidates and determine their readiness and eligibility for the academic rigor that secondary educational institutions typically offer.

What Is Needed To Pass The GCE?

Most universities, trade schools, and colleges of education need you to provide passing results in certain subjects covered by the GCE. A passing level of O is typically sufficient for most university admissions, with certain exceptions given to students needing accommodations.

Studying For The GCE Examination

The General Certificate of Education is similar in process to a GED, or high school diploma. Studying for the GCE will be an integral part of your success as you carve out your future plans for attending university and choosing the career of your choice. Getting O-level proficiency will give you more university options to choose from, so taking some simple steps to prepare for the exam will ensure that you create a quality experience for yourself.

Organize yourself

Books, notes, and papers that you used in prior studies may be relevant as you prepare for the examination. Assemble these materials and organize them so your study sessions are effective and efficient.

Join study groups

Join with others who are also preparing for the GCE; study together, compare notes, and take practice tests as others hold you accountable for your efforts. There is strength and support in numbers; use the expertise and skills of others to help you strengthen your own abilities.

Ask for help if needed

Ask for help from professors, parents, and others who have taken the test to make sure you have what you need to succeed. If certain subjects are confusing or difficult for you, ask for additional support so that you can approach the testing day with confidence.

Good Luck!

With much of what you need for GCE testing success, we wish you good luck on your exams. Study hard, ask for help, and think positively as you take the next step toward making your career dreams come true.
