Demon Slayer Season 3 Release Date
The Demon Slayer season 3 is nearing its debut, so promotional efforts are intensifying. This week, the actual release date for season 3 was revealed, along with a new English dub trailer.
Hence, the premiere of the Demon Slayer season 3 will be a little strange. Due to the popularity of the Mugen Train film, the third season will premiere in theatres around the world on March 3. This will feature the previous season’s conclusion and the Swordsmith Village Arc premiere of the third season.
The official release date of the third season is Sunday, April 9, 2023. I’m still trying to determine if that includes the episode currently airing in cinemas or if it includes episode 2 and beyond. It would be weird if that were the only location to view the premiere. Therefore, I highly doubt it. I suppose the purpose of the theatrical release is to allow you to view the film early. Hence, Ufotable can earn a fortune.

Demon Slayer Season 3 Storyline
Demon Slayer Season 3 will adapt the Swordsmith Village Arc from Koyoharu Gotouge’s popular Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga series, in which Tanjiro travels to a village of swordsmiths to have his Nichirin Sword mended.
Season 3 of Demon Slayer is expected to cover chapters 100 to 127 of the manga, a range comparable to the Entertainment District Arc (70-99). But the 100th chapter is simply the midway point of the plot; thus, a fourth season will likely be forthcoming.
The Swordsmith Village Arc is anticipated to include Tanjiro acquiring a new sword at the Swordsmith Village. The town is known as the location of an ancient weapon, but the truth is more convoluted.
The conclusion of the Entertainment District Arc hints at the direction the show will likely take after Demon Slayer Season 3. Tengen is no longer active, yet he remains alive. Tengen informed Iguro that Tanjiro would likely succeed Hashira. Tanjiro and the other Demon Slayers can then pursue their ultimate objective: Muzan Kibutsuji, the Demon King.
Demon Slayer Season 3 Cast
Even though the Demon Slayer Season 3 has not yet aired, we can assume that most of the actors from the first and second seasons will be back. Mist Hashira, played by Muichiro Tokito, and Love Hashira, played by Mitsuri Kanroji, debuted in episode 21 of the first season.
These are the Japanese and English voice actors for all of the main characters in Demon Slayer:
- Tanjiro Kamado – Natsuki Hanae (Japanese) / Zach Aguilar (English)
- Zenitsu Agatsuma – Hiro Shimono (Japanese) / Aleks Le (English)
- Nezuko Kamado – Akari Kitô (Japanese) / Abby Trott (English)
- Kagaya Ubuyashiki – Toshiyuki Morikawa (Japanese) / Matthew Mercer (English)
- Inosuke Hashibira – Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Japanese) / Bryce Papenbrook (English)
- Water Hashira, Giyu Tomioka – Takahiro Sakurai (Japanese) / Johnny Yong Bosch (English)
- Muzan Kibutsuji – Toshihiko Seki (Japanese) / Greg Chun (English)
- Mist Hashira, Muichiro Tokito – Kengo Kawanishi (Japanese) / Griffin Burns (English)
- Tsuguko Kanao Tsuyuri – Reina Ueda (Japanese) / Brianna Knickerbocker (English)
- Love Hashira, Mitsuri Kanroji – Kana Hanazawa (Japanese) / Kira Buckland (English)
- Flower Hashira, Kanae Kocho – Ai Kayano (Japanese) / Bridget Hoffman (English)
Certainly, additional demons and heroes may be added to the series in the future. Keep in mind that the above list may still increase. We will inform you when additional casting news for Demon Slayer season 3 becomes available.
Demon Slayer Season 3 Trailer
The official trailer for the Demon Slayer Season 3, which you can view above, was published alongside the show’s premiere date. The teaser is more of a tease than anything else, but it does display some of the series’ signature action and provides our first look at the Love and Mist Hashiras.
Crunchyroll and Ufotable produced a video in April 2022 that covered significant scenes from the first two seasons and footage of the Mist and Love Hashiras, who we know will play a pivotal role in the third season. More recently, Ufotable also released a video showcasing the ‘Higher Moon’ demons, commonly known as the most vital members of Kibutsuji’s Twelve Kizuki, some of whom we know will feature in season three of Demon Slayer.

How Many Episodes will the Third Season Have?
Based on the limited information, we predict Demon Slayer Season 3 will have 12 to 18 episodes. We currently only know that the Swordsmith Village Arc will be adapted for season three. It spanned 28 chapters in the manga, compared to 30 for the Entertainment District Arc. Therefore, we may infer it will consist of at least 12 episodes. However, Ufotable could extend the season to two seasons by adapting the accompanying short arc, as they did with the Mugan Train Arc.
Where To Watch Demon Slayer Season 3
The upcoming third season of the anime series Demon Slayer will be streamable on several digital platforms. Fans may watch the season 3 premiere and future episodes of Demon Slayer with subtitles on Crunchyroll.
In addition, the Demon Slayer Season 3 will be accessible via Hulu TV and Funimation. Seasons 1 and 2 were also released on other platforms, so it will not be surprising if Season 3 follows suit. Netflix presently holds the remaining seasons. Funimation also offers Season 1 and the Entertainment District Arc.
The release of Demon Slayer: To The Swordsmith Village on Blu-ray or DVD may pique the curiosity of die-hard fans ready to invest a bit more money. They are available on Amazon Prime.
Is Season Three of Demon Slayer The Final Season?
Demon Slayer is based on the manga of the same name, which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2016 to March 2020. Demon Slayer, by Koyoharu Gotouge, spans 23 volumes and 11 story arcs. The ninth arc of Demon Slayer is The Swordsmith Village, the main plot of the third season. Assuming the series continues to tell two arcs per season, we should have at least one more complete season until The Last Battle.
Demon Slayer is a manga series with almost 600 chapters that is unexpectedly short compared to its predecessors, Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece (which recently passed 1,000 chapters). Although only 206 chapters of source material remain, the series will soon end, yet these final arcs will be the most dramatic of the entire narrative.

I hope you know when Demon Slayer season 3 will likely come out. After Season 3, we’ll soon find out when Season 4 will come out. When I find out when the new season of Demon Slayer will come out, I will update this post.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about Demon Slayer Season 3
Who is the Strongest Hashira?
The most powerful Hashira in Demon Slayer is Gyomei Himejima. This is clear from the manga, where Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu all agree he is the most vital Demon Slayer Corps member. When he fought Kokushibo, he showed how strong he was.
Who kills Akaza?
With the Hinokami Kagura: Setting Sun Transformation, Tanjiro cuts off Akaza’s head. Akaza was confused and couldn’t understand why Tanjiro had no fighting spirit. He compared it to fighting a plant. He admits that Tanjiro is faster than him.
Is the Demon Slayer Worth Watching?
A BIG YES! In my opinion, it is worth viewing. It isn’t enjoyable to admit, but around episode 19, I shed a tear because the scene’s music, characters’ emotions, dialogue/plot, and breathtaking animation created a moment I’ll never forget.
What will Season 3 of Demon Slayer be Called?
Demon Slayer season 3, formally titled the Swordsmith Village arc, will premiere on April 9, 2023. To tide us over until then, we have a new trailer and a glimpse at the villains.
